Hambro holds an Open House in Halifax

Hambro recently invited architects and engineers from the Halifax region to attend an Open House in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This event helped the 20 or so participants gain a better appreciation of the advantages of the Hambro floor system.

The agenda included a visit to a construction site and two presentations, one on Hambro products and the other on the insulated concrete forms (ICF) fabricated by ARXX Walls & Foundations. The project visited was a six-story, multi-residential building located in downtown Halifax, facing the harbor.

The walls of this new building were supplied by ARXX Walls & Foundations. ICF technology, combined with the Hambro floor system, simplifies the installation of radiant heating, provides state-of-the-art insulation, and consequently generates energy savings.

The Open House was a huge success, allowing the Hambro team to showcase its products and create or strengthen business relationships.


The project is called Spice Condominiums in honor of the WH Schwartz & Sons plant that stood on the site in the 1800s. This company specialized in coffee and spices.


The Open House event attracted 20 or so participants and included a visit to the Spice Condominiums construction site.
